On this Thanksgiving (or thereabouts) I am moved to share my list of things I am thankful for in no particular order.  Enjoy:

1.  Owen Wilson.  He's on my TV right now.  He's hot.  I like him.

2.  Pie:  Pumpkin, Apple, Strawberry, Chocolate.  You name it.  I love it.

3.  Whipped Cream -  to go on pie...and other things.

4.  Good friends.  I have been blessed with many and for that I truly am thankful.  My friends in every area of my life make life good.

5.  PFW.  PotterFicWeekly. Poofwa.  Whatever you like to call, I love it.  It is a bright spot in my life and I will be forever thankful for the friends I have met there.

6.  Ronald Weasley.  I love you Ron.  Just in case you didn't know.  Why won't you return my phone calls?

7.  Pure happiness that can only be caused by something magical.  I have that.

8.  My boys, who put up with me, and somehow continue to adore me almost as much as I adore them.

9.  Did I mention whipped cream?

10.  A soft bed that is awaiting me.  Honestly.  Turkey makes you sleepy.

11.  MRS.  Pennyfeather.  I am very thankful for all things relating to that lovely lady and all of her dear admirers.

For my first official entry I proudly present my thoughts on Dumbledore (not Ron...)

I think that all the negative attention about this is expected, but very stupid.  It changes how I view Dumbledore not because his character is different now (because he is not) but more because his life and past experiences have a different meaning now.

That being said, I am proud of Jo for being honest about his character.  It wasn't necessary before but now that the books are complete, she can tell us some of the minor points about certain characters.  As fans we know that Jo has never changed what she originally intended for any reason but her own.  Obviously she is aware that some people will be upset by this news and may even stop reading the books, but being the amazing woman that she is, she does not allow such ignorance to change her story.

I am very pleased by this revelation.  If there are those that allow this news to keep them from reading and enjoying the books in the future then they are only depriving themselves of something that all of us can agree is an amazing adventure that no one should miss out on.

So that's that.

Lola out.
